EUDOKMA (European Doctoral School on Knowledge and Management) has been created in October 1999, after a long experience in international academic collaborations developed since 1991 in EDAMBA and it holds close relationships with this association.
The Consortium is initially formed by the following institutions:
- Copenhagen Business School, DK
- Erasmus University Rotterdam, NL
- ESADE Barcelona, E
- Henley Management College, UK
- Kingston University, UK
- ISTUD, Milan
- Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration, SF
- Uppsala University, S
The Learning Lab Denmark (DK), created in 2000, is a supporting member of EUDOKMA.
The mission of EUDOKMA is to promote research programmes and doctoral training on knowledge and management, relating the philosophical and methodological aspects of that subject with efficient knowledge creation, diffusion and application. Those aims are based in the idea that it is important to train academics, professionals and managers with deep critical and creative foundations on knowledge and learning.
EUDOKMA Seminars
The European School offers courses, seminars and research stays to doctoral students enrolled in recognised PhD or DBA programmes on management studies, economics and other fields related to knowledge and management in European universities or management schools. They are also addressed to faculty members interested in these subjects.
Students must complete at least two seminars in other countries and expend at least three months in a foreign EUDOKMA institution, developing doctoral research. When complete their PhD in their own institutions they can apply for the EUDOKMA certification of European Doctoral Program. That certification is awarded under the EUDOKMA requirements, based on the recommendations of the CRE (Conference de Recteurs Européens) for European Doctoral Programs.
Each seminar is offered free of charge. Applicants must have the nationality of a European Community member or associated country and fulfil the general conditions of the Commission for eligibility. Information and application forms are provided by the institution that organises the particular seminar.
As doing research plays an important roll, EUDOKMA has been recognised as a Marie Curie Training Site by the European Commission for the period 2001-2004.
